Priyanka Chopra took to Twitter to wish her fans a happy Ganesh Chaturthi and also added that she misses being in Mumbai for the festival. Not only this, she also misses the joy and enthusiasm around the celebrations and of course, Indian food!

The festive season is here and has brought in much excitement for all those celebrating across India. On this festive occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, several Bollywood celebrities and Television actors welcomed Ganpati Bappa to their homes and took to their social media to wish their fans and well-wishers and also shared pictures and videos of the celebrations. While this festival is celebrated all over India, the grandest of all celebrations take place in Maharashtra, mainly Mumbai. There’s colors, lights and flowers all around- and of course music and dance! The entire vibe around the festival is amazing and looks like Priyanka Chopra is missing being in Mumbai this Ganesh Chaturthi.

Priyanka Chopra, who got married to famous American singer Nick Jonas is currently in New York. The Desi Girl of Bollywood travels to and fro between India and the US frequently as and when her work demands. However, this time, Priyanka could not be here in Mumbai for the Ganpati celebrations and she took to Twitter to express that she is missing the joy and enthusiasm around Ganpati celebrations. She also wished her fans a happy Ganesh Chaturthi and shared that she misses the Indian food too! She wrote, “#GanpatiBappaMorya! I miss being in Mumbai this time of the year, that feeling of love in the air, the joy & enthusiasm around celebrations and the food! Priyanka Chopra’s fans were overjoyed and some even commented and praised her for not forgetting her roots. A fan wrote, “I love how you never forget your roots while effortlessly slaying your way through Hollywood.”

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra will next be seen in her upcoming Bollywood film The Sky Is Pink along with Zaira Wasim and Farhan Akhtar. The film is directed by Shonali Bose and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ronnie Screwvala and Priyanka herself.
